Morris and Co Golden Lily DM6P210400 (DMCR216462) wallpaper from the Archive Wallpapers collection, priced per roll.
John Henry Dearle was originally hired to design backgrounds in tapestries and he drew on his experience for this design with its rich patterning and colours. It demonstrates his ability to generate designs which are so close to Morris in style and colour that they have often been mistakenly attributed to him.

Morris and Co Snakeshead DM3P224468 (DMCR226458) (Pewter/Gold) fabric from the Archive III Prints collection, priced per metre.
Designed by William Morris in 1876, the design was originally block printed onto cotton. Between 1875 and 1877 Morris produced a small group influenced by the colouring and patterns of Indian textiles. This design was one of Morris' favourites among his printed chintzes. The design takes its name from the nodding snakeshead fritillary blooms that complement the larger, more formal motifs. The dramatic flame like motif and alternating spiky clusters of foliage seem held in suspension by the delicate scrolling tendrils that form the background. Four rich colourways have been printed onto linen union.

Morris and Co Snakeshead DM3P224467 (DMCR226459) (Claret/Gold) fabric from the Archive III Prints collection, priced per metre.
